Luca!

Image
I soo have been waiting for a review for a movie ever since I posted my “” Movie Review”: Spies In Disguise”! And here I am reviewing an animated movie once again and this one is going to be a banger! Luca! It is impossible to avoid this movie if you have the Premium subscription for Disney+ Hotstar because of the animation, story, and characters! Pixar has crafted yet another great animated film with a magic woven story and it is an awesome movie for families to watch together and have a funny, surprising, and glorious time. It features Jacob Tremblay as the voice of Luca, a desperate boy to discover the surface world since he is considered a sea monster. He lives underwater and is a creature who has awesome blue and green scale-covered bodies and fins. An entire population of these creatures live under the sea but the movie only features Luca's family and another boy called “” who is Luca's influencer to visit the surface. Luca gets really cool surface people (That’s us!) o...

Reviewing the killer movie: Raya and the last Dragon!

Image
If I am going to be truly honest, Raya and the last dragon was the first movie I was dying to watch with the Premium subscription of Hotstar (I know I make a big deal out of it) and if I am again being honest, I started watching it 5 minutes after I got subscription! 😜😜 Raya and the last dragon, being directed by Carlos Lopez Estrada and Don hall and voiced by actors like Kelly Marie Tran (as Raya) and Awkwafina (as Sisu),  Not only will this film be  Disney's  first movie inspired by Southeast Asia and thus giving the world Disney's first-ever Southeast Asian princess, but Star Wars actress Kelly Marie Tran  is the first Southeast Asian actress to lead a film from the company. Its awesome animation takes it to another level.   What really made me and my friends watch this movie was the music in the trailer. Yeah, I know. you heard it too. And it was mindblowing, right? Enough about the music, somehow the animation is too good and the action is the same ...

Book review: The Beast of the Buckingham Palace by David Walliams

Image
So, I bought this book, like, 2 months ago, and I was super hyped because it would be the first book that I got in nearly 8 months (except for study textbooks 🙄 ) and also that these 2 books that I ordered were FAT. If you're curious, then the other book was "The Girl who drank the Moon" by Kelly Barnhill (on which I will be giving a review soon!). The book was all covered red and gold and looking handsome and the plotline was also good, and I began reading this book in the sunlight of a lazy Sunday morning.  You should know the fact that even if it's nearly a 400-page David Walliams book, it doesn't take long to finish because there isn't a lot of text on each page. And it took me about 2-3 hours to finish. But it's not about how long it took me to finish the book, it's about what was inside that made me curious and well, a little disappointed. So, the plotline went something like this: its timeline is based a hundred (give or take) in the future ...

Why you SHOULD read classics

Classics are often portrayed as boring, dull or unvaried, and tons and tons of other long words that tell you that classics are useless. But what if I was to tell you, that classics are one of the best books that exist? Yeah, I know, has already told you so. But I am going to promise you that your scenario towards classic books is going to change. And I am in no mood to give you long words and force you to read these kinds of books, but only to convince you to read them and show you a different perspective. You probably know all about  Harry Potter, right?   The world still talks about it, fans still go crazy (me included) and big events are dedicated to these books. Harry Potter books came out almost 25 years ago. Now, just think and just imagine where the concept of Harry potter be 100 years later. Do you think these books would be forgotten or sitting on the backmost shelf of the library, collecting dust? Of course not! They would be turned into classics! Why, yo...

Book Review: Teenage Treasure Hunter by Daniel Kenny

Image
I was going through a book list on my Kindle and I laid my eyes on this book called the Teenage Treasure hunter which is written by Daniel Kenny. Since I hadn't read a treasure hunting book in a while, I decided to give this book a try. I figured that it would be an ordinary mystery book that involved someone who discovered this treasure and went to find it for XYZ reason. Boy, was I wrong! For a change, this book has a rich Curial Diggs roaming in Russia to find a priceless treasure that has been lost for nearly 40 years, and not because he wants the money (he’s rich, duh!) he is doing it to save his friend's job and also because it was his mother's dying wish.   Curial’s mom was always obsessed with riddles and specifically with the Romanov dolls and wanted to find them. Romanov dolls were special dolls that were made in Russia only, it was a craft that Russian doll makers would do and was done in recent times also (in the book). But there was one doll which was made ma...

National Science Day

Image
Today (28th February), the famous Indian scientist C.V Raman discovered an interesting phenomenon related to scattered light called Raman Effect. Who is this so-called C.V Raman, you ask? Just the legendary physicist who won a Nobel Prize in Physics! And with his discovery, he helped thousands who were working in this field. That is why he is our theme of the 2021 National science day and trust me, he deserves it. Every year the theme is different like last year was women in science. Did you have any idea that nearly 93 years ago, a curious scientist researched how and why the sea blue, and just with that thought, drove deeper in the field of light and discovered an amazing breakthrough in science? Not that we are short of any surprises, but did you know that the day he discovered this phenomenon was today (28th February)??!! Close your eyes and think, this day, that year.  I used to be so curious when I used to attend my science classes (Vikram Sarabhai centre here in Ahme...

How Covid-19 Changed My Life.

Image
Hello 2021 and hello new times! Astrologers have already started predicting that this year will be a remarkable one and for some reason, even I have the same feeling! And that is because I have recently gotten out after 10 months, which was a record I have made for the first and the last time. every moment, when I was outside my house, was like living a vivid dream, to drive through the green trees, shining sky, and the sparkling water was like remembering a forgotten life or memory. I have to say, I am definitely going to enjoy time when normal life resumes, like my basketball classes, the rowdy way I used to drive the cycle and much more. but when I take a step back and take a look how the last 12 months went, I am totally shocked and amazed. I have no idea I was able to sit in a confined for such a long time. but as I said, I was also amazed, so many new things have been added in my hobby list, the what-I-can-do list, and much more. so many new types of wants, so many type...
